# Privacy Choices and Optional Consent
The [Privacy Notice](/legal/privacy) explains processing. Account registration is not an agreement to every possible use of information.
## Necessary service processing
Creating and operating an account, providing requested reading saves, handling payments and complying with recordkeeping requirements use the applicable contract or legal basis. Acknowledging the notice confirms that it was presented, not that you waived privacy rights.
## Optional uses
Advertising tracking and promotional email, if introduced, require their own clear choice where applicable. A valid request must identify the controller, specific purpose, relevant information and recipients, and how to withdraw. It must not be prechecked, hidden in subscription terms or made a condition of free reading.
No optional marketing or advertising consent is requested in the current interface. There is no reason to tick a blanket “agree to all processing” box to read a free episode.
## Withdrawing a choice
Use the unsubscribe or privacy control provided for the optional function, or contact info@piqle.io. Withdrawal does not authorize new charges and cancellation of billing does not itself request account deletion. We distinguish these instructions so each can be acted on correctly.
Where separate consent is the legal basis for a specific future function, its exact wording and version must be presented and retained when you agree. A record of Terms acceptance cannot be reused as evidence of an unrelated permission.
